Nem toda fibra plástica para concreto é estrutural. A macrofibra estrutural é aquela feita para manter a capacidade de carga do concreto depois da fissuração, e a norma brasileira que trata dessas fibras é a ABNT NBR 16942.
O que é a ABNT NBR 16942
A NBR 16942 estabelece os requisitos e os métodos de ensaio das fibras poliméricas para concreto. Ela define as características que o fabricante precisa controlar e informar, como dimensões, forma, resistência à tração e módulo de elasticidade da fibra, além do efeito da fibra na resistência do concreto.
Classe I e Classe II
- Classe I (microfibras): diâmetro equivalente de até 0,30 mm. Atuam principalmente no controle das fissuras de retração plástica, nas primeiras horas do concreto.
- Classe II (macrofibras): diâmetro equivalente acima de 0,30 mm. São as fibras de função estrutural, que garantem resistência residual depois da fissuração.
O que conferir no certificado da macrofibra
- Classe da fibra conforme a NBR 16942;
- Comprimento e forma (lisa, ondulada, recartilhada);
- Resistência à tração e módulo de elasticidade, comparados com os valores de controle;
- Efeito da fibra na resistência do concreto de referência;
- Data de fabricação e validade do lote.
O certificado da macrofibra DKC
A macrofibra de polipropileno da DKC Fibras é Classe II, com 53 mm de comprimento e forma recartilhada. No lote certificado, a resistência à tração foi de 506,36 MPa, acima do mínimo de controle de 400 MPa, e o módulo de elasticidade foi de 5,62 GPa. A validade é de 36 meses.
